Sleep was good, location super!

Great hotel, great location! Amazing views, lovely staff!!

In an 11-day stay on Crete this was the loveliest place we stayed in. We got the Captain's suite, which was so thoughtfully-appointed and beautifully decorated with ample lighting for reading, a comfortable bed, and a beautiful shaded balcony with a straight-on view of the caves and side view of the ocean and plenty of spaces to relax. Set back enough from the main drag to be really quiet. There's free parking up the block from the hotel but you are able to pull into their driveway to offload bags. Matala is a charming little town with an interesting vibe. I highly recommend this place!

If you travel to Matala, this is the place to stay. Very close to the beach and the centre. Beautiful and very clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff en the perfect breakfast to start the day with. They also provide filtered water in resuable flasks and beach towels. We definitely come back!!!!
